My Energizer

Last Saturday, I spent the whole day until midnight working. I’m so tired and exhausted. When I’m on my way home, it’s raining and there was a heavy traffic on the street. I fall asleep when I was in the taxi. I’m lucky because the driver was so kind to me, he knows that I’m so tired of work. He wakes me up when I arrived in my place. It’s almost mid night but my children are still awake waiting for me. I heard their voices while I’m walking at the corridor. They’re so happy when they saw me standing at the door. They kissed and hug me so tightly and said “Mama why you arrived late, we miss you.” I’m sorry, I had to work and I’m so tired. My baby told me “don’t worry mama I will kissed and hug you many times and you will be fine. I smiled and asked her, what did you do the whole day? she said, we just play and waiting for you. “When I woke up in the morning I cried a lot because your gone my nanny told me you went to work. I’m sorry for crying to much because I miss you.” I felt my tiredness was gone. Because of my loving daughter she made me so happy and she energized my deteriorating energy because of working so hard. I’m so lucky of having an angels like them in my life. I can’t imagine what will be my life without them. Thank God for giving me an understanding and loving daughters like them.

Well Done!

I started my work last Saturday, so early in the morning. It was the 4th year anniversary and a family get together of the company that I organized and manage. One of the owner of the company is so close to me and he’s the father of one of my colleagues. It was so stressful to organized and manage such a big event. I personally decorated the venue with the help of the cadets sea mens of the company. I felt I’m alone yesterday. My colleagues never bother to help me for some other things and concerns. I know they don’t know how to organize and manage a corporate event but I need their support and presence during the preparation of said event. Before the party starts, I saw them and they’re so happy that I made a good job. At the middle of the party we had a chance to talked and they’re amazed with my work because I did it well. When the party ends. The owner and the staff of the company recognized me, my colleagues and our company as well. People enjoyed the party and they had so much fun especially the kids. I thank God for the great experience and making the event so successful.

Family…

I just want to share with you some reminders that touched my heart when I read it. It was circulated on our emails but just the same reminding us always… “I ran into a strangers as he passed by, ‘Oh excuse me’ was my reply. He said, ‘Please excuse me too; I wasn’t watching for you.’ We were very polite, this stranger and I. We went on our way and we said goodbye. But at home a different story is told, How we treat our loved ones, young and old. Later that day, cooking the evening meal, My son stood beside me very still. When I turned, I nearly knocked him down. Moved out of the way,! I said with a frown. He walked away, his little heart broken. I didn’t realize how harshly I’d spoken. While I lay awake in bed. God’s still small voice came to me and said, While dealing with a stranger, common courtesy you use, but the family you love you seem to abuse. Go and look on the kitchen floor, You’ll find some flowers there by the door. Those are the flowers he brought for you. He picked them himself: pink, yellow and blue. He stood very quietly not to spoil the surprise, you never saw the tears that filled in his little eyes. By this time, I felt very small, and now my tears began to fall. I quietly went and knelt by his bed; ‘Wake up, little one, wake up,’ I said. ‘ Are this the flowers you picked for me?’ He smiled, ‘ I found ’em, out by the tree. I picked ’em because they’re pretty like you. I knew you’d like ’em, specially the blue.’ I said, son I’m very sorry for the way I acted today; I shouldn’t have yelled at you that way.’ He said ‘Oh, Mom that’s okay. I love you anyway.’ I said, son I love you too, And I do like the flowers especially the blue.” Are you aware if we died tomorrow, the company that we are working for could easily replace us in a matter of days. But the family we left behind will feel the loss for the rest of their lives. And come to think of it, we pour ourselves more into work than into our own family, an unwise investment indeed, don’t you think? So what is behind the story? Do you know what the word family means? FAMILY= (F)ATHER (A)ND (M)OTHER (I)( L)OVE (Y)OU. Oh, God! thank you for this story.
